I thought I left Colorado
Hey all,
Just picked up the little red rollerskate in CO. and made the trip home to CA. (thru NM, AZ, & NV!!) A little over 2,000, the most this truck has ever been driven at once in its life, I'm sure!!
Anyway, hooked it up to a scan tool and pressure gauge today to check tuning. Looks like the MAP is off a bit (got one on order for tomorrow, helps to work at a GMC dealer!) and noticed the fuel pressure fluctuating BADLY! We replaced the fuel filter (ORIGINAL EQUIP.) but still has bad pressure, so I suspect the 12 y.o. pump is on it's last legs, probably from sitting in bad lo-octane CO. gas.
I'm looking for recommendations on replacments. Anyone have a favorite?? I have two Turbo Regals (both 1987's) but neither has run for several years and as such I've been away from the Turbo world as long. Does ATR still make parts for these?? Looked on their website and it appears all they make now is exhaust for everyone! Help an old hat in getting his new toy tuned up to pass CA. emissions!! :lol:
