New tails for the Ty

My left tail light has been messed up since the day I bought it so I thought I'd replace them with something that different but not look like rice.

After looking at the Syborg thread, I saw he used a set of these but in the smoked version:

I got the regular red models and tried them out.

Fit was good. Here's the pics:

These seam to be universal meaning they fit both truck and Blazer models. For the Typhoon, you will have to drill 2 holes along the black edge that faces the tail gate edge. For now, I just have the outer 2 screws holding them in place.

Yeah, they were $28 plus $24 for shipping. They did come shipped 1 box inside of another larger box and were wrapped in bubble wrap so they were well protected during shipping.

I like how they still look some what factory with the red. They also have smoked which you can see in Syborgs thread.

those are the ones i was going to get because they still look factory-ish, only i don't have an ebay account:oops: they look really good.

i am totally digging your rims, though. love that style. who makes them, if you don't mind me asking?

I was looking at those lights on ebay just a few days ago, and was thinking I wish I could see them on a ty, Looks great I think i might order a set.
I like the rims too, looks similar to my wheels.

I really like those but in the auctions it says they only fits an S10 so i was worried, but if they fit a typhoon fine i might be tempted to pick up a set

What company is making them? They look really nice and they don't look like Altezza.

'm running ASA 17x8 wheels (BMW offset) with 245 Yokohoma winters. Its a beast in the snow!

They look real nice, but since you went clear on the front lights, how come you didn't go clear on the rears as well?

Just personal preference. Never cared for clears in the back. Clears in the front are subtle and light up amber at night. If it was a different color like black, I would stay with the stock ambers lenses up front.

i thought that, too. but if you look at the driver's mirror on the bad @$$ white ty you can see a purple glaze on it. actually on the white ty itself.
