I'm from Murfreesboro.. and I know of one syclone in Fredonia Village in Manchester (home-town). And curious if anyone knew him...
anyways...

I have a 93 Sonoma and after brake failure and a pretty bad accident.. I'm looking for a new ride. And what better than a SY?
So guys.... I'm looking for a Sy. At one end or the other of the spectrum. One... bone stock w/ minor damage...no wrecks... just normal wear and tear. ex. clear coat peeling.

OR
a nicely built one.

I'm willing to drive a ways.... but not too far... within 1000 miles i guess

I saw one in Manchester about 5 years ago and I stopped to talk to the lady. She looked at me like I was crazy and drove off. :dunno:

I heard about a couple of brothers in McMinnville who were both supposed to have Sy's but i never saw them.

Probably the same lady... Not sure. I've seen it driven once to a grocery store and directly back home.... typical of 1.Old Lady who doesn't know what she has 2.A true enthusiast who is conservative and babies the hell out of it or 3.A dumbass.

I seen it frequently parked in the driveway....for no reason when they have a 3 car garage...... dumbasses...that marks out possibility #2. :)

Good luck racing me to a cheap Sy. I am waitng for a cheap Sy with a blown motor to come up semi local. I have the trailer ready to pick it up and cash in hand. Stick with the 20k trucks and you will be fine. I am looking for another deal like my Ty was.

Anyone ever talk to a guy from the 'Boro name Derek?

He had 2 SYs, traded 1 for a T-R in SC, the other last I heard was in pieces.

Motor out, entire front clip off, bed off, tranny out, etc.

Ive met Derek a couple of times. He was on here as "DentMaster" if I remember correctly. Last time I saw him was at the GS Nationals. He was in a black H2 taking dents out of Buicks. He's a cool guy.

You looking to buy another one? That would be cool!

Me??

HECK NO!

No more turbos for me. Although the SY/TYs are nice vehicles, i'm gonna stick strickly to V8 Buicks & Mopars (with a touch of Nitrous) for my toys :)

I'll let ya'll handle all the turbos you want, & i'll just set back, watch, & drink beer.

I talked to Derek today & he sold that SY in the 'Boro about 6 months ago.

He's got Ragland's 43,000 mile white T that he wants to sell as a roller (no engine or trans). It's got coil-over/ladderbar, cage, yada, yada, yada.. wants $17,000 for it.

Yeah it was a 8.50 to 8.80 1/4 miler... depending on what kinda mood the car was in, with full interior, cruise control, & COLD a/c..but he later took the a/c compressor off cause he kept having to work on it & the compressor was in his way.

Now Derek has pulled the driveline & wants to sell just the rolling chasis.
