19-20psi and 20-21* Timing.

My friend was in the Right lane with the GTI, couldn't get traction till 3rd gear, was his first time racing at the Track. Should be an easy 12 sec car.

I didn't expect that I'd run almost a Full second quicker to last year with Non-ported Vortec heads and a Custom Cam. The A2A helped to. Gota decide what's next for the Ty. I know I'm on the ragid edge but we'll see. I didn't get hassled on safety equipment. They looked under my Hood for 2 seconds and asked if I had a helmet.

I'd sure like that Big Gun status :lol:

Way to go Sean! Very impressive gains over last year runs. Not sure what else the stocker bottom will take...but when it's got a good tune...you shouldn't be hurting anything. Save the coin to build up the good parts short block, and that other turbo you have your eye on. Then, it's 10's and the coveted Big Guns title you'll earn. Was happy to see you DROVE IT THERE too.

Impressive. Might as well run it up to 25psi and 22 degrees of timing now if you're going to build a new bottom end anyways. Just sayin. ;)

Not really sure how much Power it makes, would like to dyno it but guessing around 500-550. Maybe someone else can chime in..

congrats on times, I am going to be building a similar build, you stated that you have a sm cam, by any chance is it one anybody can buy or is it a custom cam?

Very nice job. stock bottom end and code 59 you have a big pair!! Tune must be close to spot on!! Hope you can squeeze a 10: ?? out !!

It was a fun, interesting one to tune, Frank. A couple of mechanical issues stretched it out a bit longer than expected, but those both resulted in needed fixes. Having said that I will only do tunes in increments so as not to get too wild too soon.

I think we could get it into the 10's…. I did all of this one long distance via logs, but wouldn't want to go any further without being there in person. We're spraying more meth than what is optimal for max power, but it's a safe tune (if there is such a thing ;) )

Putting up those times is impressive. Hats off to the driver also. Those kinds of passes take some skill.
