Nice! Looks like it needs a good wax job though. It is probably just a reflection, but is the headder panel red (the piece that the grill/headlights are in)? Was it repainted? The Sy deal on the tailgate is about 1/2 the size it should be.

Whats the deal with that ty?

Re: new guy

No it's not red but it does have a red stripe around it that is going to go in the garbage. How big should the Syclone sticker on the tailgae be? That Ty in the background is the one I am trying to get to reincarnate it. The Sy is my buddies (SY2300) but I had the pics of it on my camera. See more about ty in my postNeed help with value of 93 Ty 1398

He actually waxed it after these pics were taken and it shined up a little. The previous owner had it pretty darn dirty. Actaully we are fighting a wiring demon right now. The previous owner had neons, oogha horn, and tons of stereo junk in it and after ripping it all out the radio, fog lights, and dome light will not work. I am afraid I pulled a power wire for these three somewhere. We will get it though.

I thought the purple wire only had to do with the starter click, click, click problem. Have people experienced other problems because of it also :dunno:
the only problem he is experiencing is the fog lights, dome light, and radio don't work. I am definitely open to all suggestions.

Re: new guy

Don't know who the El Camino belongs to. The Ty is at a shop and has sat there in this condition for the better part of a year and that is why I am trying to convince the owner to sell it to me. I have looked at it sitting there in this pitiful shape for too long and it is time to start it's life over again. I have read about the purple wire helping starter problems, but hopefully someone a little more knowledgable can chime in on how it effects other aspects.

Re: new guy

The most common electrical problem on our truck is the clicking starter, which is fixed by replacing the purple wire. Sounds like you got sloppy seconds on the wiring though. Good luck
