New Parts for Old Trucks
All my other bugs have been worked out and i actually got to do some driving .

This no power down low gets me though . Really annoying like hard to pull out in traffic no power .
Anywho i did a log on my tci tcu , i see that im starting out in 1st , goes through the gears , 2,3,4 etc , but the power is just not there . I can feel hear my motor revving up , trubo spooling , but im just not going anywhere until i hit about 20ish . I have the log here to share if anyone knows anything about the tci components .

The tci program to read the log is here if you know about 80e's but arent using this controller and wish to offer advice .That online folder has the stuff george sent me about the tci program

Re: New day new problem to share .

I'm a BS3 user but out of curiosity I looked at the TCI software and file.

One thing I spotted in the log were that it looks like that the line pressure decreases with increasing TPS%
Or is the collumn for line pressure showing the "line pressure force motor duty cycle" in percentage?
0%=max availeble line pressure

Re: New day new problem to share .

I will have to check on that one . I did another log just now and the first half of the log i have to stand on it to get it to even start rolling , but once i get rolling and turn a few corners , stop even , it feels like my regular untuned truck .

I even pulled into a parking lot just to see if it would do it again torwards the end of the log and it gets going, builds boost etc . I am deffianetly stumped with this fandangled electronic tranny . http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=e3071ec8e9697501931c7453395df025e04e75f6e8ebb871

COULD You have swapped the 2 speed sensors? outputshaft and turbine speed?

Re: New day new problem to share .

are you sure it starts in 1st? put it up on jackstands and see if you can manual shift through 1-2-3-4-lockup. sounds like it's in second.

The two speed sensors in the side of the trans are the same sensor, you can interchange them with no effect on performance. In fact you can unplug the front one completely and the TCI controller wont care. I had my rear sensor go bad after pulling out of a car wash, truck was stuck in 1st gear. I was down at the ocean with minimal tools, but i pulled the truck up on a curb, crawled underneath it and swapped the speed sensors. Problem was solved and I drove it like that for another year or more.

MRKING you need to clean up your datalog dashboard some, get rid of all those values that dont do anything. The thing i think looks weird is the Gear Select value. I will have to plug mine in and check it, but according to the manual it says "Gear Select=Selected Gear at Shifter " I wouldnt think that value should be jumping around crazy like that but ive never looked at that on mine. Other than that, I dont see anything really wrong, it says its going into first gear in the computer, but what you describe does sound like it gets stuck in second.
