Need some eyes on a Ty

Anybody near Portland Oregon that can look at a Ty for me in the next 2-3 days and provide feedback. The last Ty I bought, I took the seller at his word and I got the short end of the stick.....that won't happen again! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Just an advisory note...I have located a guy that lives 10 minutes from the individual selling this Typhoon and he will be checking the truck out within 48 hours. He bought his 93 Green/Grey from the same seller and was super satisfied with his purchase and the sellers honesty so, TN may be getting yet another Typhoon; thanks to Jimmy. HIP-HIP HOORAH

Hey T, why have you decided to let the other seller (I'll call him Mr. Blind to Rust) off so easy? I would take this guy to the mat / return the truck / demand refund plus costs / file breach and false sale (not only civil, I would press criminal charges also and across state lines is several huge 1st degree Felony's). I mean I don't think this guy knows what or how much trouble he really could be in.

People do this and continue to do things like this because they think your too far away or won't do anything about it and will just let it slide cause "it's not worth the time or trouble". I guess I'm just a hard ass but I put a lady in jail for 4 days once $185. It's not the amount, it the fact that if you let them get away with it... they will keep doing it.

Sorry man, I mean it's not my truck (or money) but I just hate to see anyone get screwed especialy you. C Keith and I were talking not to long ago about the definition of "no rust" and "mint condition". Seems like 99.8 % of people no longer are willing to be honest about their sale..... of anything, ebay items to autos.

Truck was on ebay not too long ago. been painted.

I see why it didn't sell. I just got detailed pics of the areas I requested. Tailgate missing lock, rear glass completely missing right shock, tailgate missing complete inner trim (available but trashed), headliner torn in rear, scratches on all trim pieces in rear, center console lid is missing, inside of compartment looks like a earth escavation project, stereo missing along with dash trim, air box crossover taped together with duct tape, wires laying on the driver floor area, etc. Most definately a nice project but I just acquired one for $10,000 in a whole lot better condition.....not in the mood for another. Hopefully this photo link works for any other interested party - http://photos.msn.com/Slideshow/Vie...GIGizJaARxbZzfND2qpywAQa6BORN*D6oeTY$&index=2 Sorry Jimmy :).

Mainly because I was at fault for not having someone check it out in person. The truck is not in too bad of shape...the only rust I found was in the lower corner fender area near the doors and it is not through the metal, however it is visible and I was assured there was NO rust. Other than that, the body and cladding are in great shape and I am a real stickler for perfection. It runs very rich but once I obtain the DFI software and the dataport cable from Accel ($190), I can tickle it back in tolerance. It has no blowby, good fuel and oil pressure. On a POS note, it has no roofrack and is A/A intercooled and equipped with a very nice set of Brodix heads, mild cam, AFPR, ATR exhaust, custom guages, mint ZR1 wheels and tires, DFI, etc. The KB headers and downpipe are gonna be replaced shortly with a Mike Lee set-up but I want to get it running smooth before I fork out $2,500 for his headers and downpipe. That's the short and skinny of it. I was mainly trying to help Wes out of a pickle he was facing...I certainly didn't need the Ty but what good is money if it it just laying around. They aren't turbocharging wheelchairs so I want to enjoy the years I have left. Thanks for looking out for a brother though.

No problem man. Bottom line is if your happy with it then that's all that counts  . Sounds like it's got plenty bolt on's and is at least in fair shape. I didn't follow the thread or truck info but I was thinking you got a real U.S. Navy gunnery practice class rust bucket that had been sold as "no rust". Glad to hear it's not that bad :)

Re: Need some eyes on a Ty

I sent you a PM. I can check it out tomorrow if you want. Call the cell phone number I gave you...Roy is a better mechanical technician than me but I think I can give a pretty good analysis!! :) Good luck with the possible purchase. Feel free to use me anytime to check out a local rig.

Hey I checked out this Ty in person and test drove it, if anyone wants any detailed information on the truck please either PM me or send me an email at Camaro-99@hotmail.com The truck needs quite a bit of work, but I would be more than happy to share my "experiences" with you if you are interested in a purchase.

Someone probably broke into it thats why the rear door is all destroyed. It might have had a stereo system.
