Need help with brakes...

Ever since I bought my TY, the brakes won't hold any boost. It has a brand new master cylinder and the pads on the front are all good. Do you think they just need to be re-blead? In park I can pump up the brakes and they're nice and stiff, but when I put it in drive the more I push down on the brake, the further it goes. Tonight I was messing around trying to boost launch it and the brake pedal went down so far that my "brake" light came on...

I agree, try bleeding them again.. I personly had the same problem but the brake pedel wouldn't go all the way down.. I corrected my problem by deleting the abs system.

There is a thumbwheel on the drums in the back to tighten the shoes. When my syclone was not able to hold the boost at the line we found out that was the problem. Spun it a few times to tighten them and the problem was solved.

But it does sound like they need to be bleed again but ifthat doesnt work check into what i said

Re: Need help with brakes...

What sucks is that since I'm at college....I have no tools/jack/stands...etc....I have to pay people to do stuff, which is why I'm waiting til I get down to my dad's house this summer to work on my stuff. Collecting a lot of stuff right now. In other words....I can't just go out and bleed my brakes, or I would

Hi. have you checked out the HYDROBOOST? All of those problems go away with the h/b. We use them on the Grand Nationals. They are pulln 10lbs. of boost on the line. When the RPM's go up, the pump is spinning faster. The HYDROBOOST locks the brakes down harder. We can use many different master cyls to match any caliper set up. Check out HYDROBOOST BRAKE UPGRADES
