need advice on axle nut

I have been trying for a couple days to get my cv axle out. I can't get this nut to budge for the life of me! Emptied half a can of pb blaster, heated it with a mini propane torch, hit a breaker bar with a hammer, tried to break the threads loose with a hammer and chisel. Any good ideas to get it loose? I may have to get a real oxy acetylene torch on it if I can't get it loose soon.

I'm borrowing my friends impact tonight and try that. I already bent a foot long pipe on the ratched trying to get it loose.

Been through this same nonsense. Wound up borrowing an electric impact wrench from my engine builder and that did the trick.

i have to agree with renz , impact gun is the way to go. my friend played with a harmonic balancer bolt for four days cause he didnt believe me when i told him it wasnt comin off with out a impact gun. i bet him $100.00 i could stop by his house and have it off in less than five minutes. that was the easiest $100 i ever made , took longer to toss my compressor in the trunk than to get the bolt out.

Impact will zip it off like butter. Don't waste your time and risk breaking tools or hurting yourself.

I could not get mine off with a snap on air impact. I went into my backyard and got a 6 steel pool and slid it over a 2 foot 1/2 breaker bar. It still took all my weight to break it lose with 6 feet of leverage, I seriously thought the breaker bar was going to snap in half. Not fun.

I use a 4 foot tube, that I slip over a 24" breaker bar. I normally have someone apply the brakes. Ionce attempted to remove it by reistalling the wheel. The wheel spun on my garage's concrete floor.
