we should get a place/time pole asap.
Im going to start another thread for people to enter their info and time they would like to leave, then everyone will understand why people are going to have to be flexible.
Exactly. We should have 2 or 3 meeting points on the route, probably near main intersections. We can figure out the drive times between those stops, and just say we willl be at stop 1 at x time, stop 2 at x time etc. Of course those times wont be exact, but they could be calculated close enough.
We then need to have contacts for each stop, like teams kind of. Everyone planning to meet at a particular stop is a team, and someone from each team needs the cell phone numbers of someone from the other teams. If organized we could have a smooth transition. If someone doesnt make a meet point due to failure, lateness it wont be hard for them to catch up with the group at another stop. Each teams contact person needs the cell phone numbers for everyone from their team.
Just an idea, im tired and it may sound retarded.
wont happenYea everyone needs to get to their meet point fueled up and ready to drive for a little while,
that is exactly what will happen, so be prepared for it, there's no way around it, especially when youre driving during the day, which is why I want to leave late and drive through the wee hours of the morning, but everyone else would rather drive when everyone else is on the road :roll:i definitely dont want to take 15 hrs for a 10 hr drive.
As in "enough for another truck?" If so, let's talk. I've 10 minutes from you in Blue Bell and would rather tow than drive. (not continuing to Memphis as originally planned).
Steve
As in enough room for a 1/20th scale truck, sorry only have a single trailer. If you ever want to get together, let me know.
Okay, thanks. I have access to a trailer. If you know of a tow vehicle locally, let me know.
want ads, buy a cheapo 1500/2500/f150/f250.. who cares what it looks like, $2000 as long as it runs good it'll tow the truck
or borrow your bosses brand new fullsize tahoe loaded like i did in the past.. unfortunately he isn't my boss any more so i'm driving.![]()

Eric did you rent the trailer that year? If so from where and how much please?
I've been looking, believe me. Not that I want to drop a couple thousand dollars right now, but I have been looking. Most $2k trucks I would not trust to Kentucky, especially with 4,000 pounds behind it.
My boss does have a Cherokee, but not the V8.![]()
honestly i can't remember how much it was, but it wasn't that much to be honest..
here is where i rented the trailer from, local place, very helpful.
