Re: My datamaster files.....

stock gauge wont read right on a 3 bar map,and a pitbull is a 2 bar chip so you should not be going over 14 ,i would just get the truck set up right with stock chip,i dont think the gains from the pitbull are worth it.and you should have a aftermarket gaugeor better a wbo2,be carefull or you will be posting up a post for a wanted new engine.

map sensor dosent mean that its not going to go over a set amount of boost,it could go to 20 with a 2 bar if you let it,are you stll using the ecm for boost control?if so the pitbull chip is gonna make it overboost so you might have to do some wastegate tweeks, put the stock chip in it and get it running right,

My truck has a stock chip, the previous owner had the pitbull in there. I am using the ecm for boost control and i have a autometer boost gauge, but i don't think it's working correctly because it only shows 8 or so psi and datamaster is showing 17ish.

is the setting in datamaster for 2 or 3 bar right?maybe you have a bad gauge?

Its set for 2 bar......i have another gauge i will try.

Re: My datamaster files.....

Not really sure how all the aftermarket chips work but..... A stock ECU and stock MAP "Should" shut you down after 14.7 psi. Something does not add up.

Yeah it does if your stock ECM sees it.

Right but something is F'ed if its letting you run 17 psi. If you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator turn pressure up a bit. That should make you safer at 17 psi.

His problems started to happen after he changed the turbo.. I was wondering if there's a leak or the wastegate rod is bent or out of adjustment.

Send me your file, I'll try to host it up . Not sure if it can go on photobucket or not. I can at least take a look at it.
