Bad News. Spun a rod bearing in my motor and it eat up the crank and the rod. There is metal in the oil and in the bottom of the oil pan. Tried to order fresh motor from local dealership but they said its dicontinued. I was wondering whats different between a typhoon motor and a new 4.3for say a 98 Jimmy, besides turbo and all that off course. The internals, externals is anything the same or different? Thanx

totally different , balance shaft (wont rev) shitty pistons,(kaboom) I do have a guy local to0 me (mich) with brand new sy/ty long blocks for 1500.00 plus shipping these are gm parts Ken
