what is the most boost you guys are running with a good tune on pump gas?
and also what kind of afrs, timing and iat's do you see?
preferably 93 oct.
thanks in advance
"Pump Gas" Varies wildly. NE Pump gas != Florida Pump gas != Colorado Pump Gas, etc.
Refiners formulate gas for local laws, so your quality will vary much.
Bottom line, you pretty much have to start low (like 12 psi) and work your way up on the gas you plan to use. As soon as you start to get a bit of knock, back down a psi or two.
ive run 20 psi on pump. stock turbo, stock motor, ultimate/3bar. stock timing. NO KNOCK
the motor didnt really pick up a BIG gain because it was down on timing. i never tired it with more timing. other issues cause the motor to fail (bad oil pump)
18psi everything stock but chip and intercooler MSD Ignition & exhaust.
I'll know more once we take it to the nationals and get some help with Autoprom and Tuner Pro.
11.7-11.5 AFR @ WOT
We have 95 on the pump here. We'll run good gas at the nats to tune with so we won't hurt the motor.
