I would worry. It's definitely going to be strenuous on the pump. Pumps are great at making pressure on the discharge, but they suck at sucking on the inlet.
That's a good point. IIRC magnafuel pumps aren't supposed to be as sensitive as Aeromotive pumps for the mounting height but why make it work harder than it has to.
Couldn't really come up with a better spot.
Its kinda cramped back there. Its only about six inches up to the pump from the bottom of the sump.
I was also thinking that we never run less than a half tank so the pump will be lower than the fuel pretty much all the time.
Fuel like water finds its level so I figure the pump won't have to pull much at all. Maybe I'm thinking incorrectly.
Magnafuel pumps are pullers not pushers like the Aeromotive ones also.
