Good job

Don't spend too much time with the buick, you won't want to mess with the Sy anymore.

Re: luckiest man alive again!!!!!!

thanks H-town, nothing can replace the syclone, and thats my main squeeze, but the reason im buying the grand national, always wanted one, and the movie coming out next summer, the fast and the furious 3, has a grand national in one of the scenes, hauling ass, and passing and 18 wheeler, looks sick, and the movie is going to be awesome, look at the trailer, and let me know how you like it. the value is about to go up, on those cars!!!

I think desirability will go up, but Turbo Regals have taken a dip in value in the past year and might see a slight increase after the film, but nothing major. They peaked in the past few years fetching more money they were worth when new...but that has slowed down. And "hot air" GNs (84+85), unless in mint condition, have maintained a flat value over the years while 86 and 87's skyrocketed for a time. All about the economy.

Re: luckiest man alive again!!!!!!

If i was going to buy another gn i would only go for 86-87.the 86-87's are much faster than 84-85's and there were more produced.i 'd hold out.

Re: luckiest man alive again!!!!!!

I missed that it was a hot air car.

Honestly, and not to poopoo your purchase, but unless you are getting a smoking deal on the car I would hold off for an intercooled model.

Too much money just to match the performance of the later cars, and then you have a harder time with much more money invested when pushing it for bigger numbers.

Has the car been converted to 86-87 stuff?upgrades?i love the gn/t-regals.they ride good, look good, and are fun to drive but unless you are completely sold on the idea of this 84-85 i would hold off.later on down the road,i thing you are going to wish you had held out for the 86-78.just a thought.happy buying.

Re: luckiest man alive again!!!!!!

well thanks for the input guys, but for the price you cant beat it, 3500.00 and supposely the motor and trans have been done, and have been doing alot of research on those cars, and i plan to keep it for a while, so i will buy it, and see what happens, you guys are hard to please, i remember the last time , when i found the syclone at a used car place, and the sales people didnt even know what they had, so i bought the syclone for 3200.oo, and everybody thought i was bullshitting!!! well i can get that grand national to run and look good, but regardless the way the economy is, there is always somebody looking and willing to pay money for these vechicles, regardless if its a syclone, grand national, or any other car.

you guys are hard to please,...

Who are you trying to please? It's always easier to tell someone else what to do with their money, or what to hold out for...(guilty of it myself). End of the day, whose garage will it be in? Morgan x2, congrats on the find! Did things pan out for you over the weekend?

Re: luckiest man alive again!!!!!!

Hot Air cars are nice if you don't want to go fast at all.. if you do and plan on dumping $$ into mods then just sell it and pickup an 86/87 gn and start with that because it's a completely different beast then a hot air car. What you would waste on getting a hot air car into the 12s would take you about $500 bucks and a set of tires for an 86 and 87
