Any interest in a direct fit GM based cast pan with spin on filter? Will hold 5.5-6 quarts and will included pan, hardware, gasket, windage tray, pickup and disptick.

Ya its starting life off as an alpha pan clearanced for the diff and the sump is extended for extra oil. There was no reason to start from scratch once i discovered this pan could clear comfortably with some work. I would choose a modded factory pan over an aftermarket anyday.

I expect they would be in the 400 dollar range with a 7 day lead time if we can get 5 people. ill post pics tomorrow of the extended sump.

I have a 3/4 inch thick jig plate that will take place of the other pan during the welding process. So far it's looking like I won't have to surface the pan after welding its not moving around as I anticipated. Im still playing with the settings on the welder to get a cleaner weld on the cast but So far so good.

I can do that myself, I thought this this idea was for a custom cast piece, no longer interested.

I maybe interested, if I do indeed decide to go for a LS swap. This pan would definitely help to make it an easier transition...since the pan is the biggest hurdle to overcome.

RPM mounts... the width of the notch is perfect but I can reduce the length by 1" or so.... Did you check oil capacity after?

Has anyone test fit that pan? I saw pics of it a while back it looks very similar to the turbotime pan I have and I had to modify that one to work anyway.

Yep, checked everything, the only thing I changed was the level mark on the dipstick.
