Do you guys have a lot of left hand curves in Austria? I noticed the PS has large diameter tires and the DS has smaller tires. Increased grip for turns? This concept is used in the US but mainly for dirt track racing :dunno:

LOL

This pic was just from test fitting the wheels/tires :rotf:

I have the new wheels/tires for both sides

Driver side are stock diameter wheels/tires that were on the car :)

No need to be envious, really.

See it that way:

I spend about 12-16 hours a day at work.
Believe me.....money is not all.....
Yes, it makes such builds possible........but I learned that spending time with
my family is REALLY what I need.....and want......and the only thing that really counts
for me.
That´s the reason the build slowed down that much....

If anyone really feels envious.....you are all welcome and go for a ride with me in the car, when it´s done.
No problem for me to share that fun with everyone here....at No cost at all !

Re: LS2 1500hp+ Syclone build

Just wondering, if you dont mind explaining a little. What all has been done to the LS2 to make it hold 1500-2000 HP. From my understanding, the aluminum blocks arnt the best choice when shooting for anything over 800-1000 HP. Most LS forums will say go with a 370, the 6.0 iron block, and even then 1500 HP is about the limit on it as well. Then you are on to the LSx, or an after market block.

Anyway just wondering, as im trying to plan my LS swap and keeping the weight down is a goal, and would like to use an aluminum block if possible. I dont think i will be shooting for 1500 HP, but a safe limit of 1K would be nice.

I bought the engine from Viriginia Speed and the decision to get the aluminum LS2 had two reasons:

1) Weight
Which is very important on our nose heavy trucks.

2) I knew the guys run their aluminum blocks to over 2000hp without a single fail

I´m sorry I cannot remember what they did to the block, but I know they welded
fittings to use 6 studs per cyl on the heads and they did a lot of things to the block that they told me some about ans some not.

Thanks for the info. Thats crazy they are getting 2Khp out of them, all the forums talk like they are junk for high HP builds.

Not sure what was done to Fast Cars block. But most people go this route when using the factory aluminum blocks these days.

Re: LS2 1500hp+ Syclone build

I knew you could sleeve them, but still didnt realize they could do 2000HP. I guess most people on forums are taking budget builds around 800-1000HP.

And I didnt know they were able to convert them to 6 bolt heads. Could you do the same with an iron block? Convert it to 6 bolt heads??

No, I dont believe you can weld the cast iron like they are doing with that aluminum block. You could just buy an LSX or a Dart block cheaper anyway.

Yes, a lot, actually.

We had to do a lot of cut and welding on the chassis (new firewall and such) and
built the roll cage.

Also, we built our own exhaust manifolds and most parts of the rest of the exhaust is done, too.

It was a hell lot of work....unbelievable.......I didn´t expect to have to change and fabricate so many things, to have it like I want it.....

I already started the wiring (we are building our own wiring loom for the MoTec M800 and everything else...).

I will try to find some time and get some new pictures online, soon.
