Do you guys have a lot of left hand curves in Austria? I noticed the PS has large diameter tires and the DS has smaller tires. Increased grip for turns? This concept is used in the US but mainly for dirt track racing :dunno:
:bump:
i can obviously speak for a few around on this forum by saying that i am just a little envious. time and money are rare commodities for more than a few.
No need to be envious, really.
See it that way:
I spend about 12-16 hours a day at work.
Believe me.....money is not all.....
Yes, it makes such builds possible........but I learned that spending time with
my family is REALLY what I need.....and want......and the only thing that really counts
for me.
That´s the reason the build slowed down that much....
If anyone really feels envious.....you are all welcome and go for a ride with me in the car, when it´s done.
No problem for me to share that fun with everyone here....at No cost at all !
Just wondering, if you dont mind explaining a little. What all has been done to the LS2 to make it hold 1500-2000 HP. From my understanding, the aluminum blocks arnt the best choice when shooting for anything over 800-1000 HP. Most LS forums will say go with a 370, the 6.0 iron block, and even then 1500 HP is about the limit on it as well. Then you are on to the LSx, or an after market block.
Anyway just wondering, as im trying to plan my LS swap and keeping the weight down is a goal, and would like to use an aluminum block if possible. I dont think i will be shooting for 1500 HP, but a safe limit of 1K would be nice.
Thanks for the info. Thats crazy they are getting 2Khp out of them, all the forums talk like they are junk for high HP builds.

Not sure what was done to Fast Cars block. But most people go this route when using the factory aluminum blocks these days.

And I didnt know they were able to convert them to 6 bolt heads. Could you do the same with an iron block? Convert it to 6 bolt heads??
While searching for something else, I came across this thread again.
Fast Cars - any progress?
