launch control for speedpro

anyone know if speedpro has a provision for setting up a 2 stage launch control in the rev limiter section. I was gonna do it with my msd 6A but found out the module only works with the revlimiter models like a 6AL.

why dont you upgrade that ignition to something good like the digital 7. then you can have all those cool features built in.

I thought about using the msd stuff....but there just aint no room for the extra boxes.

wait a second!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm gettin flamed from someone who just bought the cheap launch controller because it was 40 bucks cheaper!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sounds like we're both financially challenged at this time of our lives. I can't even afford the new Benz the wife wants. and the new Cigarette the kids want to keep at the place in the Keys is out of the question unless they are willing to cut back a little on the 3 month long European vacation they all want to go on.

maybe I can get JW to loan me a few bucks. If I had his money I'd throw mine away

don't listen to phil. If I keep spendin like I did this summer the wife will make the ::shithitfan:: I may even have to start dippin into my trust fund, if I could figure out what one was and where to find it to start dippin :wink:

I remember getting the dig 7 plus for ~500. then another 150 for the matching flame throwing coil...

you can check out the print on the dig 7 plus...but it's got 2 diff rev limiters and a 2 step built in...those are the high points..along with having ~2x the power of the 6 series..

Yeah I am a little challenged right now. I have a wife and 2 kids at home and we all know how much $ a Syclone can make evaporate!

right now I'm leanin toward gettin a digital 6al john which has the launch controller built in and also has a little more fire in the hole. 280 bucks from summit or jegs. I know a couple of guys that have the 7 series and really like it. from what I gathered from msd when I called em they didnt think the 7 series would help me that much more. you would know better about that since you have one. what did you run before it and did the extra power help you any? do you use a launch controller to help yours. I can't get mine to sit at the line when I start makin power over 3K and thought this would help spool it without killing the tran. Phil just did it and loves it.

ya les. thats the deal. with a 2step you can spool up without needing the insane brakes and trans and conv killing that you would in the past.

I used a 6series in the past but kept having trouble with blowing out the plugs. (ie not enough power) so I stepped up to a higher power ign system and opened my gaps back up. made all the differance for me.

I haven't had any problem with blowout on the 6a. at least none that me or the guy who helps me tune can detect. I thought that since the digital 6al had a little more that it would do the job and save a couple hundred bucks. I've tried the ngk's and the autolites and had the best succdess with the autolites. I seem to remember john gerber saying he had a lot better luck with the autolites after he switched from the ngk after I told him. I haven't noticed that the gap heped or hurt whether i did it cdlose or wide. we were afraid that maybe that much power and boost (28 +) would eat em up but so far that hasn't been the case.

On the other hand I only want to buy one so maybe I should just splurge for the bigger one
