Larger Front Disc Upgrade

wow, this post hasn't gone anywhere.

well i talked to someone at Baer and found out that their brackets will work if used with c5 corvette calipers and their centering rings. after reading about 50 websites about various brake swaps it looks like the f-body calipers are similar enough to also be used.
since then i've decided to go with 13" c5 brakes in front, i'll probably use Baers brackets, if i do i can send one over to JS Designs to get measured and duplicated if anyone's interested.

so baer said u can use their mounting bracket with a c5 caliper and 13" disc? so meaning everything would sorta bea bolt on.

So has anyone done it yet?

Just a follow up....
Got the truck on the road a week ago and the brakes work great, no issues.

so this is basically a 'bolt on' c5 setup for the front?

i have a thread about the Baer's somewhere....
the brackets will work with C4 parts (that's pretty much what Baer's kit is) but someone will have to be adventurous and try C5 parts. i don't have the money, if i did i'd probably just buy a Baer kit, corvette parts are so expensive it's just easier to buy the kit and get everything at once.

last i heard JSDesigns was making the brackets for (i think) LS1 front brakes. he didn't mention pricing or when they'd be available.

Its coming, just got back from 2 week business trip, so i can resume progress and try to dig out of my hole again and get things out soon.
