I have finaly got the kr low. But I would like to know what would cause 3 deg of kr if you are setting at an idle and riv it up? dont see anything rubbing. Each time you riv it up it gets 3 degs . Looks identicle each time.

before i give you the answer what could cause that your going to have to tell us the steps you took to get rid of the knock. Ya see we know there were many but a list and the final change you made before i or anyone else will give you the answer.

could be false knock. What happens under load? If it is progressively worse then maybe your timing is way off.

I remember talking to someone who was getting false knock at idle when teh Ultimate wasn't piggybacked with the stocker.

I have the same bloody problem, but I cant find anything rattling??? At about 3000RPM in park the truck will knock 2-3KR. Any ideas anyone. Gotta be false knock?? Fern Sy#477

It does not get worse under load . the funny thing if the knock count does not go up when I get this. ED I still have some but it is only like 1.2-2 deg and thats it except for the stuff when you first punch it. I still have a rough idle when cold. I replaced the TPS and the fp finaly came to rest at 48 psi. Ithough it mite be the chain I had for a hold down so I replaced it with the tail gate strap. No deffirence. think it mite be a cracked flywheel wil check tomarow. it is just damn strange. didnt have it now I do :-?
