I was in my daily driven stock Sy when I got stuck at a red light with a burgundy 6 speed C6 Vette. I started messing with him (brake boosting a little), but he ignored me. I halfway launched but he didn't so I let off, but when he noticed my agressive hop forward, he nailed it so I got back on it. As expected, I went through first without allowing him to gain on me at all, and he hit 2nd next to me and chirped big time, letting me know that he's on it 100% and shifting hard. I stayed floored and to my suprise he was unable to pull away all through 2nd. I work on and drive those things all day at work, and I know that the LS2 makes 400 hp to the crank, 340 to the wheels, and shoots the light car down the 1/4 in 12.7 seconds with a good driver. Even auto convertibles run 13.0 and reach 60 in 4 seconds. As soon as we both hot 3rd gear, he ran away like a freight train, pulling 4 cars by 90 mph. We repeated this process at the next stop sign, with exactly the same results.
My little truck that cost almost $30k less, weights almost 1000lbs more, and has 100 less horsepower can totally keep up with the king of the hill.....up to 60 mph. It was cool.
