Tonight was my first actual kill with another car thats not a ricer.
To start off the story... I was walking to class and this guy in a ugly early 80s model mustang pulls up and revs the engine. It sounded mean... So i yelled out "Hey, wanna race?" and the guy laughed. This made me furious. :evil: I keep asking around campus if anyone knows what he has done to his car. no one knows.
back to tonight... I was driving down the hwy and here he comes. i didnt recognize him at first but that exhaust was unforgetable. we roll down the windows and i say "now do you wanna race?" he said sure. light turned green before i could prep the boosted launch so i launch at 0psi. we are neck and neck. all the way up to 70. then we shut it down b/c it is a 40 mph speed limit. then we do it from a roll at 35 which sucks. same results. Then the time came and i wanted a red light. BINGO. I get the launch ready any launch at 7psi and all i see is fishtailing in the mirrors and headlights getting smaller.
we pull over into the walmart parking lot and start talking. he said that he has the 306 5.0l in his w/ high-performance interals everything you can think of from pistons to rockers to bore to cams. he said he runs a 13.9 @ 110. and i said im stock and run 13.3 @ 99-ish. he was amazed.
It felt good beating something that had tons of mods and im 99% stock execpt k&n.
