If you put it in your oil filler neck,it is not smog legal. :2cents:
I ran mine w/a hose connected to the valve cover to the intake air filter box to pass visual check.
Not sure if the P.N is on the filter itself? I would have to open up my air filter cover to see.

isn't there a breather on the driver's side valve cover behind the filler neck by the firewall factory stock?

No, their is a metal pipe that comes out of the DS valve cover. The metal pipe is connected to the factory air box via rubber hose.

ohhh my sy had stock air box and all that when I first got it six years ago but that little metal pipe deal had a small filter on it.. Makes sense thanks for clearing that up for me Dave

I had one installed a while back which i bought from a local k&n dealer but discarded it. Does it help relieve any kind of pressure in the crankcase?

If it you have a functioning PCV valve and it does relieve pressure you have some internal issues. Otherwise its used to filter air drawn into the engine by the PCV valve.
