"All-wheel-drive vehicles are becoming more popular, and GM and Ford are racing to catch up. Will this trend come back to trucks (a la the defunct GMC Cyclone)?

In a way, I hope not. I like that there are no other trucks like these on the road, period.

But I'd also like to see GMC come out with a 400ftlb AWD turbo Canyon, just for old time sake. I think it'd show a lot of respect for what the SyTy project accomplished on the street, and maybe better the "bastard child" image of SyTy within GM.

A Turbo 3.5/4.2L Powered AWD Canyon would be cool.. I just dont see it happening.. GM is soo far behind all the competitors and turbo's are not the mainstay that they were in the late 80s and early 90s.. I think you'd see an LS2 powered AWD Canyon before anything (which would be awesome as well).. I just dont think thats gonna happen either tho..

I was readin up on the Trailblazer SS and with a healthy V8 and available AWD. Sounds cool but a 2x4 may be more fun for those smokey burnouts. They need to make a truck that is a freakin TWO door with the same engine package. Full size or Blazer X-treme size. Don't get me started....what happened to the GENERAL?

Agreed.. 4 doors are for FS Pickups and Mommy Wagons..(Although.. Chrysler turned out a coupla hot 4 doors I wouldnt mind owning...)

With the exception of the C6 GM has no clue anymore whats HOT and whats NOT...

Saw pics of the '07/'08 GTO.. Now that looks pimp.. but GM will never make it..
Saw pics of the '07/'08 Camaro.. Something else GM will NOT make....

The new cobalt SS is s step in the right direction, but its short on power when compared to the WRX & SRT-4 and still FWD :-(

When is GM gonna realize they are losing an entire generation of buyers ?

Isn't the new sierra denali all-wheel-drive? You could possibly turbo that but it's still a big truck.
