If memory serves, mine has been in my truck now for a good 10-12 years? Been through all the motions of daily, sitting, and racing.
I will say though, during the times it does sit for long periods, its typically is low on gas (1/4 tank usually). Not sure if you want to say thats good because the hoses dont stay submerged and get soft and rot...or because it stays dry, the hose dries out and cracks.
It's crossed my mind to pull the bed and check out the condition of the hoses.

I was up until about 5am wearing out the search engine on why the truck could be falling on it's face after a hard launch. Now I've got a checklist of things I'm gonna do before the weekend comes. There's an 1/8th mile track day coming up this Sat and a friend of mine with a modded Cherokee SRT (who never met up to run me last year) is finally going to the track, go figure. I really gotta stop dicking around and get a Datamaster.

Fuel pump is probably 10+ years old. I did hear about quite a bit of Walbro's failing. Were most of those Ebay knock-offs I assume or were they actually genuine Walbro that were failing? Either way mine's an oldie.

How exactly is it falling on its face? The engine cuts out or it does it not accelerate like you think it should?

I did read that these trucks have a fuel sloshing hiccup if there's not enough gas in the tank.
Re-tracking my footsteps I bought about 5 gallons of race gas and showed up at the track with probably less than an 1/8th of a tank. Must've figured the less blend of street/race gas the better I don't know. I probably made 7 or 8 passes because it wasn't a busy track day. And coincidentally, it was the very last pass when the launch felt really good and it was as if my key turned off at about the 60-100ft mark, maybe shorter. I drove almost 70 miles on the way home before having to fuel up (going about 70-75 on the highway). I am running 60lb inj with a Walbro255 so it's sucking some fuel.
We hooked up a FP gauge to it early last year and everything checked out okay. I never launched it though. Just 15mph roll out and wot. Since the gauge was a rental and didn't want any oOps. Shit this is probably sounding like someone running their fingernails across a chalkboard to most of you. That probably was my problem.
It sounds like 1/2 tank or better is what a lot of guys live by on here.
