Just a side note, thought some might be interested.

Dover also happens to own Weisco piston, JE, Carrilo rods. Those companies also happen to be in the same division (dover divisified) as my company. JE and Weiso also happen to want to manufacture their own rings instead of buy them as is now.
As an aircraft sealing ring manufacturing facility, my company has the tools, experience to make rings, just not at that cost level. I have been heavily involved in past month or so, developing ring manufacturing technology that will allow airtomic to make rings at a cost level the low volume high performance ring costs need to be (read syty racing rings). As 1 of only 2 main "engineer" or anybody for that matter that understands how to make them, some neat things might come my way, and hence to the syty community. Although it won't happen right away, over next few months, good possibility I might be visiting both Weisco and JE piston, making rings for them, for testing, etc. And of course I already have my boss trying to get me a set of pistons.
This could be good for the syty folks in next 6month to year, as I may be able to design and make some rings, that nobody else can get ahold of. Also going to see if I can get a direct lead on syty pistons, and cut out a few middle men, and save us all some $$... Lets just hope anyways.
