There were something like 93 exported as NEW directly to Japan. The others, mine included and is one of those from Edmonton now, were exported afterwards. Mine was registered in California for 3 years then an exporter got ahold of it when Japan couldn't get enough of them.
I was able to find my original owner and sent him a note. Apparently his daughter's asked for one now

The baffles on the end of it are for tuning it. They still use the supertrapp's abit nowadays on motorcycles, Not as much as they use to. The more baffles the more backpressure. Naturally the less baffles the less pressure and more noise. I 'm not sure if that would make any real difference for tuning on a car as much as a bike

Very nice. I like the black rims on the white truck. Are the markers also turn signals on the front panels? Also, are they available to purchase for the non-Japanese SY/TY's? Thanks for the pics.

yes they are turning signals as well.. and another weird thing on the truck is the reverse lights...the actual reverse light is hanging below the bumper...if you look at the first pic in the first series u can see on the left side the little reverse light...and where the origional reverse lights should be are the turning signals... :squint:attackdog said:

My Reverse light is mounted in the tail gate which i dont like. im trying to find an aftermarket one to replace it. Plus i have a cool sticker on the drivers door with a warning. and i had a cool little light mounted in the dash for exhaust temp. All american Cars that are imported to Japan have this little light in the dash added its a Safety thing. my friend 95 Camaro Z28 from Japan has the same lights.
