It happened...ouch!

I am sure that our server is solid and backed up continually. But as a wakeup call...the s10forum.com board fried and lost everthing back to Sept 06. The sight is not up yet, but they have temp sight up. Everyone has to re-register. Funny seeing everyone starting over as a newbie. I am sure once the backups get into place things will pick up as normal execpt that everything from Sept to now will be gone. There were several other sites also connected to the server that went down.

I am sure we are ok here...maybe time to do a donantions drive again? A well paid server is a happy server, right?

I believe the server syty.net is on is backed up nightly, and it is constantly monitored.

I had my server die.. i definately should know better than to not back stuff up, but sometimes it just boils down to being lazy. The biggest problem that site is going to have is explaining the problem to their advertising companies.

Yeah it sucks when that server goes down. Its a really good forum to get info and stuff off of. I have the same user name over there...

...and its back up and running again BTW
