TYTILLIDIE is right, and the S10 door panels will work, but the SyTy has specific leather inserts and certain style steering wheel. Also remember (judging by your Q? thread) when getting replacement pieces for the dash that you get one w/ correct options, RE: fog lights, power mirrors etc. And a power screw driver saves so much time/effort for changing panels to get to said carpet. good luck.

First off, Remember that we are talking about a vehicle that is 15 years old now.

Never buy a used vehicle at night no matter what artificial light is present.
Motor:
q Does it smoke a little at startup? Could be valve guides
q Listen closely (at start up and when warmed up) for exhaust or vacuum leaks.
q Check for oil leaks around heads and turbo supply lines running to and from motor.
q Check ALL fluid levels and textures (smell) (oil, trans, p/s, p/b, coolant, intercooler) hot & cold.
q Open oil filler while engine is running to check for blow by. Could be valve seats or rings.
q Check turbo & intercooler plus hoses and connections for leaks.
q Check condition of belts, hoses, wires, battery.
q Keep an eye out for missing fasteners. Indicating sloppy repair work.
Transmission:
q Check around pan and housing for seal leaks.
q Check the feel of tail seal coming out of transfer case and first U-joint front and rear.
q Check for Aux. Tranny Cooler?
q Observe the fluid (smell feel level) cold / hot.
DriveLine:
q Check rear driveshaft & U-joints; front propshafts and CV joints for tightness.
q Check transfer case and all differentials for fluid leaks and signs of opening.
q Turn vehicle in tight radius both directions listening for CV Joint popping.
q CV Joints need to be clean and free of cracked boots.
Suspension:
q Check shocks for leaks (front and rear).
q Leveling system in tact & working.
qBall joints & Tie rod ends tight and crack free.
qSteering tight and free of "play".
q Rear leaf springs tight and squeak free.
Brakes:
q Pads thickness and color, OEM?
q Disks color and wear.
q Lines / fluid condition.
q ABS can be hard to test but if you get the chance, you better.
q Emergency brake functional. May need this later for Killer launches
Wheels/Tires:
q Check wheels offset and correct rotation if possible. Mine were switched F to R. Looks pretty silly too
q Check tires wear and wheel edge condition.
q Locking Center Caps (stock) Locking Lugs? Key?
Body:
q Check hood / Grill area for damage/repaint?
q Check cladding for cracking paint and rubbing into body paint.
q Bottoms of door edges for rust.
q All inner fender wells and behind all fender wells for rust (back window hinges).
q Do the doors / body panels line up and close tight/straight? Cladding has been known to not fit perfect.
Interior:
q Check for wear in all leather (edges of seats, steering wheel, gearshift knob).
q Manuals, Literature, extra keys, keyless entry transmitter included.
q Check A/C for coldest and Heater for hottest. Rear defrost & wiper too.
q Cruise control may act strange but check for usability.
q All Stereo functions in working order. (CD player works smoothly, Speakers not blown).
q Power accessories (windows, locks, seat, mirrors, keyless entry, hatch releases, lights, signals).
q All trim panels in place and securely fastened, no screws clips missing.
q Check F/R Ashtrays in "Non-Smoking" vehicle. Mine was sold as a "Non-Smoker" and had ashes in the back seat trays
