ic pump relay used for fan

since my ic pump is hotwired, could I use the relay for the ic pump to control my electric fans instead? I'll have to run new fused + and - to my ic pump(I'd have to tap into something that is only hot when the ignitions on.or run it off a toggle.) Then take the temp sensor wire from the ic and plug it into a thermostat i've mounted for the fans. then use the + and - that used to run to the pump to run my fans. And unhotwire my ic relay. Or am I missing something here? I'm just searching for ideas since I cant seem to find much info on wiring up the fans on my CAS Alum. radiator..
Here's my orginial post. http://www.syty.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=33911

there's 2 black wires, one green, and one yellow. the fans are already wired in togethor from the factory. in messing with them the blacks are obviously grounds, and the green and yellow control the two speeds. All the info I keep finding says only use the high or the low speed.
Well, why is there two speeds then? Maybe wire the low speed into my old ic relay like i said above and wire the high speed into the a/c? That sounds like a good idea to me, does anyone see why it wouldnt work? Or, if its not too much of a PITA to wire it to only use the high speed if the fans were already running when the a/c kicked on. Cause I dont see it needing high speed on the highway even with the a/c on.
I'm trying to avoid spending another $100 on relays and crap that i dont need cluttering up my engine bay.
Also, does anyone know for sure if the fans that came with cas radiator are spal? the dont say anything on them.

someone lead me in the right direction...dont flame me too bad if my ideas are really off the wall. This truck has been driving me nuts the last two weeks, and I only got two more weeks to get it on the road..so my sanity is long gone..
Thanks in advance.
