hx35 turbo?

my buddy has a hx35 turbo off of a turbo diesel truck, it needs rebuilt but said i could get it done for like $200. i am curious as to if this would be a match for my motor, which currently i believe is stock and i plan on atleast putting a cam in it and maybe injectors and i have a set of vortec heads that i am considering doing. if anyone has a better idea for a turbo that will work or maybe i should get a waller upgrade? i know very little about turbos and have been looking around and trying to figure out what combination of upgrades i should use, i tried the sticky but it wont open for me.

The HX turbos are becoming really popular in the DSM world, especially now that there is a company making bolt on exhaust housings for them. I cant remember what cfm the hx flows off the top of my head but I do know that they are finicky about how they are fed oil.
