How much would you pay for a new 4.3

How much is the going rate for a 4.3 , new gm motor not remanufactured, how about 2500.00 from www.goautocenter.com, is this about right?
They have it under the marine section, and they seem to have decent prices on there other v-8s.
I like the 300hp 350 for tpi f-bodys, new with forged rods 1995.00, thinking about replacing the motor in my 1989 convertible iroc seeing how it only has a 305, just want a little more power and reliability.

The motor list wan't make 300hp with a stock TPI setup. The 355 hp ZZ4 usually make 250-260 hp if put in a 100% stock tpi vette.

It should make a little more than 260hp unless your talking to the wheels, a stock vette in 91 was rated at 300 hp wasnt it ?
I know the runners are small and the injectors are small but i would upgrade those things as well, maybe even slap a mini ram intake on instead.
Wonder where the torque would be with that motor ,400-450 with the tpi setup.

I was referring to 260 at the crank, the only part that would add hp on a ZZ4 vs a stock vette is the cam. The heads, valves, compression ratio are all the same.

The 91 vette were rated at 245hp & 250hp (if it had free flowing mufflers), 92 had 300hp when it change a Lt1, but anyways. A Miniram and good exhaust would probably make the advertised 300 hp on the motor you referenced above, but those heads and cam would holding you back. (same goes for the ZZ4)

If I was to build a high hp FI 350 on a budget, I would get Miniram III, Vortech Heads (maybe even a fastburn heads) and put them a 350 short block with a LT4 hot cam. With the right tunning and exhuast this would make 400+ hp with a streetable driving manners. If you have to deal with emmisions the MR lack an EGR valve, which could cause a problem with a visual check.
