I was curious how many strong / fast trucks are out there with a turbo v6 NOT using Alcohol Injection/e85/ect ... just Premium Pump Gas?

If you are proud of your setup ... post your E.T.'s (1/4 or 1/8) , Dyno Specs (h.p. / torque), and Build Specs (heads/cam/turbo) :) ---

Thats a big ? Some may be running E85 or race gas ect. Better ? is how many trucks running pump gas and no meth that are still running?:tup: My guess is that they wouldn't be considered that fast at mos tracks. To run enough boost to be a big dog you will need either meth, e85/95, race gas and some good boost. You might get some 11 sec truck but your prob wont see any in the 10's on just pump gas and no meth and still be a v6.

11's on pump? I'd have to see that to believe it.

Why is everyone trying to avoid good fuel? Weather its E85 race gas or alky injection, you NEED it!!! If anyone has run 11's on strictly pump gas, 91 or lower, consistently and for a long period of time, you are on lucky bastard. We have to remember that just because a newer Vette, SRT8, Mustang etc.. ran 11.xx on 91 does NOT mean we can. Our head design sucks, we have turbos and it just isn't going to happen.

I was able to Ron 11.20 s on pump. No meth. Timing was was low. 24 psi

I ran 11.44 at 117 on q16 with a ptb61mm and stock longblock. Bone stock suspension on runs. I have now added methanol injection(100% meth) Precision 6766 CEA turbo and swapped back to 93 octane mixed with 128 ounces of torco accelerator. (10 gallon tank) approx 107 octane with the torco. Also added ssm lift bars and new front limiters and Toyo tqs DRs on all corners. Getn ready to go back to the track to see if it will finally break into the 10s. Tuned by RPM/NOLAN. I before ran 26/28 degrees of timing on the Q16. and 27psi.

im not saying to NOT run the stuff ... I am just curious as to my original question ... I know not everyone is running race fuel that has a fast truck :) .

I wasnt sure what was possible ... 11's is solid ... thats all I want out of my truck ---

On Saturday I made a conservative pass on pump gas. Spun pretty bad (1.88 60ft) and went 12.31 at 110mph. That was with the boost tunred all the way down (15psi) and only 12.5 degrees of advance on 93 sunoco. Its pretty safe to say that with 18psi (what it's tuned for) and a good lunch I could probably sneak a high 11.

I wouldnt say my run was "fast"?! But with with a walbro 255, fpr, 3in exhaust, no cat, intercooler pump NOT working, an ultimate chip on T218, half a tank of bp 93 an the other half sunoco 110 leaded, an plugs talor wires an new O.E dizzy i ran a 13.1 all day. By my standards that was amazing, i was also useing bfg gforce sports. An let me remind you my intercooler was not working at all!! Lots of sitting in the pits an alot of ice to achieve what i did

Stock engine , stock turbo, engine trans, converter etc,etc, etc, pump gas 12.29 @ 108
Same combo except 20G turbo but a smaller 12 CM turbine housing. Dynoed w/Dynapak 386 HP & 550-560 ft lbs @ 21 psi. http://www.dynapack.com/

Not exactly fast or high HP, but thats what I got. :oops:

Im going to start at 20 degrees and slowly work my way back up. I was going to run the q16 and meth together but Nolan said they had dynoed with the 2 together and the power dropped down. To much octane. I just ordered a 5 gallon drum of Torco accelerator and 5 gallons of methanol. Still waiting to recieve it. Im hoping it works for me! I had really good luck with the accelerator before. Hopefully the addition of the methanol will make my truck more consistant at the track.

might be hard up in that thin air you got Mike but down here at sea level I don't think it's all that difficult :rotf: :rotf:

compared to my best 1/4 mile ET of 7.09 at 189mph I felt like I was taking a ride to pick up groceries. The guy in the STI in the other lane probably didn't think it was funny :rotf: :rotf:
