I've had mine for about 4.5 years and its been my most useful daily driver,stoplight sleeper of the three cars I drive. I do drive the SY the most out of all of them, I haul the occasional antique,lawn mulch,large boxes of ?, and general useage like this.
Its never broken down on me and I'm the one whose put most of the 79K miles on her too !
I think the trucks that have had so many parts fail/break....are from NOT being driven or just sitting...OR being hammered EVERY time the key gets turned on.
I'm in Vacuum most of the time but I DO hit boost EVERYTIME I drive her . :tup: And I always let her warm up and cool down,change synthetic oil timely,lube chasis,wash undecarriage etc.
I've seen many SY'Ty's though with much less mileage on them that were wasted in all ways....if not on a second or third MAJOR componet. A good sign of its care and past life.

That, plus car shows. I'm trying really hard to keep it from becoming my daily driver for most of this summer, but its really tempting to leave the ZR2 sitting at home.LBoogie said:

Jeez, how do you do that? I get way worse and probably half the power. Any specific thing you think allows that, specific tune, lots of alky, etc?

Alky is only on in boost, so has nothing to do with the milage under normal conditions. I can only thank Nolan and his years of SYTY tuning. The truck drives better than the stock truck ever did.
When we (Nolan) tunes a truck all details are adressed and it is not a generic tune, that's the secret. Many hours of tuning on the dyno and the street to make the tune perfect. I did most of the tune on my truck, but used all of Nolan's knowledge to get it right.
