I've never used one but from what I've heard they're pretty damn accurate! They even have a G-tech type app for the iPhone...

The app for the iphone and ipod touch is called 'Dynolicious'
Its cheap - around $10 and pretty effective
There are a few youtube vids demonstrating it and comparing it with the G-Tech.

Re: how accurate are G- tech pro?

I have found the 1/4 mile times to be pretty accurate. The original G-Tech I have would sometimes lose its mind if I launched hard, the new one hardly ever has a problem. The RR version gives you a bunch of features to use if you ever decide to autocross your truck. The included software is fun to play around with but I'm not sure how accurate it is, a lot of variables are assumed to make the torque/HP numbers. I think it is generally repeatable, however. Neat toy for the price that does provide useful information.

I have the one made by Beltronix and it's half the price. It was within 1 tenth at the track.

Yeah, my brother had the old G-tech pro. We ran it at the track and it was within 1/10 every pass. Not sure how accurate the HP calcualtor feature is though. You also need to know the EXACT weight for the HP calc.
