Hi from Alaska/Wisconsin

Hey,

New here name is Aron. I'm originally from Alaska but I'm away at school right now in Wisconsin. I've always been interested in the syclone/typhoon/sonoma gt trucks but I haven't gotten my hands on either one. My cousin is a collector of speciality trucks from all the major motor companies. He has been kind enough to give me a ride in his syclone, since I replaced the transmission for him. Lets just say I fell in love as I was thrown into the seat.

I'm actually looking at a 92 Sonoma Gt in Minnesota right now. Hopefully I can pick it up for a reasonable price.

SyTyless......for now!
Re: Hi from Alaska/Wisconsin

We've got time  . A SGT would be a great entry to the SyTy world, since it is a rare truck without as much hassle. It'll allow you to get to know the S-Series trucks without the headaches associated with the turbo engine/AWD/failure prone trans. Good luck with the truck and school!

Thanks for the welcoming. I picked the S.GT cause they have syclone styling on the exterior & interior but are commonly cheaper then a syclone or typhoon. Plus, it was/will be the only one i found in my price range. I don't know much about the sy/ty trucks but I've been working on s-series trucks for quite some time. I have a 96 that was all shaved, lowered, custom interior on 20's, then a 98 that was bagged on 18's. I've also worked on quite a few of them through my friends so I'm familar with them.

So eventually I'd like to pick up both the syclone and typhoon with a little bit more knowledge from this site.

LOL @ the spelling of a person's name. My name is Shawn. If it was to be spelled Shawn, Shaun, Sean, Seann, Chone(s) (this one's funny if you understand Spanish) or any of the half dozen others is just fine. Such as with the name Aron (Aaron, Erin, Eron, and the many others). I simply say this because I'm an expert in Nameology... 100 kudos if you understand that joke :D

The spelling of one's name is never wrong... if that is indeed the way the parent wanted the name to be spelled.
