Got a problem...

I just got my Ty running with a new engine rebuild. Runs like a champ but I am breaking it in still so haven't even boosted. Anyways when I try to turn the ignition over the starter won't crank, nothing does. This happened twice. I do notice the battery is a little low on the gauge but its a new battery. The boost gauge also gets a negative swing when I turn the key. After a couple hours or so it starts up just fine, I bet it will in a little while. Do you guys know what it could be: grounding out or something?

Re: Got a problem...

check the purple wire. I should have check that for you but you did not say anything about it. There is a purple wire from the firewall by the fuel regulator down to the starter solinoid. Its right by the DP and can burn up. When the truck heats up the resistance goes up and the coil gets low voltage and wont click over. Bring it by and I can look at it for you.
