What interest is there to goto the track? Closest one is Orlando Speedworld and best way would be taking the toll road to get there...which means we can drive as a big group and at highway speeds to get there.

Friday nights are test and tune, I believe Saturday nights are ET bracket racing. Will find that out.

I know we are going to have some fast trucks showing up (10 sec and faster). Not sure if some of those trucks are going to want to showcase anything.

Mine is a virgin to the track so that would be a good time to bust her cherry

Yeah, I want to dominate all the other slow ass trucks that are gonna show up and think they are even remotely quick.

You guys gonna let Jeff talk like that?

Kinda thought his truck would be on it.. :dunno:

Its funny you bring this thread up Adam, as my turbo buick buddy asked me about this the other week and said that the buick club asked as well if we're doing a track day/meet and talked about a rental. From talking to them, apparently you cant rent OSW. Or you can, but its very $$$. And even then they'd only limit the amount of people to say 25-30. (Unlink other tracks where you can bring I think up to 100)

The way it looks my truck wont be done by the end of the year. Unless I fall into $4k somewhere. And I sure do hope I fall into it fast.

I'd like to see the trucks down the track.

It was an inside joke.....if I need a trailer, I'll bring one.

Yeah...this wont be a track rental deal due to knowing that OSW charges a stupid amount. Its going to be if you want to go, follow along. Entry is not covered in registration costs, so you will have to pay your way in by your self. However, if we get a slew of sy owners, we can throw them in the beds under the tonneaus and save a few dollars

Re: Going to the track - interest?

So Im assuming there is little to no interest in going to the track?

Im not going to plan for everyone to drive to OSW and waste the gas and mileage to see 2-3 trucks run. Id rather go out streetracing myself and watch Jeff's truck hand people their ass.

Re: Going to the track - interest?

I think for the sake of the group, it's best to leave the track out this year. If we see the need in future years, then we can, but interest seems low and I think we'll have a good enough time w/o the track. Street racing will be enough to quench my racing thirst.

That oil burning POS ain't gonna do crap :)

I'm so excited just putting on the new drag radials next week, I think it's time to start working on mine.

I don't think we need to really "plan" going to the track. If enough people are coming and we decide at 6pm to go, well then we just go.

Re: Going to the track - interest?

I would love to go to the track, but if it's a question of track or street race, I'd rather go watch Jeff's truck tear some shit up on the street :) Maybe my slow junk can even get a race or two ;)

Good news is I pulled 4 of the plugs out last night and it isn't burning oil like it was, I think it just needs more boost now.

More boost is ALWAYS the answer :)

Either that, or more nitrous ;)

Re: Going to the track - interest?

We will see what happens once the boost gets into the double digits first.

I was happy to see the plugs not look so oily, actually 1 of the 4 looked rather decent. Others were just a bit rich still, but I have it tuned on the bit rich side anyways.

4 plugs to change, couple vacuum lines to hook up and more boost will be happening. Will see what it can do in 90+ deg. heat this saturday at high elevation.

Getting to a point though I need to install a cage or just decide to not push anymore power out of it.
