Alright I ordered a new engine but the people I ordered it through need the block number and the cylinder head number, someone told me that it should be the same on all the 92 typhoons, so if anyone on here knows those numbers plzzzzzz post it!

Well they got all that squared away, they gave me a parts list and it's a big upgrade from the stock motor, they just want the block number and the cylinder head number so they don't give me just a regular 4.3 and then the turbo spools up and blows it up. does anyone know these numbers? cause the motor they're givin me is a hi-po motor, it's badass, hand built and everything.

They want the block number because there were a few different ones available in 1992, so they wanna get the right one, since there was the 4 bolt and the 2 bolt.

Re: Getting new engine need some #'s

chances of finding an original syty block are slim to none so be content with a regular 4.3 block or upgrade to billet main caps. LB4 heads are stock for turbo/non turbo motors but have them find some 94-95 L35 heads since they are a direct replacement and are a slightly better design.

do a search for l35 heads to get the casting number for them, if you are doing nice rebuild and are not using your stock block (numbers are not gonna match now)then get l35's

Alright guys...the motor is brand new, not rebuilt, I'm not using the original block, the heads and all that stuff are taken care of I got everything they need. They just asked for those numbers and I figured someone would know, so I guess I'll have to actually yank the motor
