Gauging interest: "Typhoon" upper intake exchange program

Hey Typhoon owners,
sick of popping the hood and being reminded of the bastard sister truck, the Syclone? I for one can't stand it. So i'm wondering how many people would like to get rid of the "Syclone" in lieu of a "Typhoon" logo. Target price would be $200 + your intake core + shipping. I haven't had one made yet, so no pictures. I'm simply gauging interest at this point to see if its worth setting the deal up.

I guess it'd be interesting to have Typhoon in the intake. I personally like the "WTF?" you get from folks when they see Syclone instead of Typhoon.

Figures now that I sold my spare upper intake, there is probably going to be a huge demand for spare upper intakes cores...

Yeah id be down for that deal. Would it still say 4.3 Turbo or just the Typhoon logo? And i imagine it woudl be in the correct font like the door decals??

i'd be down as well, as long as it looks factory, like the above mentioned w/ it showing 4.3 TURBO.

Why'd you have to start this now?
I just got someone to make me the plate (int he correct dimensions).
Previously there was a short run of plates made but the logo was not properly sized.

So much for being unique, now theres gonna be a ton of Typhoon intakes around... beech.

I just got someone to make me the plate (int he correct dimensions).
Previously there was a short run of plates made but the logo was not properly sized.

So much for being unique, now theres gonna be a ton of Typhoon intakes around... beech.

i'd doubt if more than 10-15 people really do this. Plus its been done a coupla times before anyway, so its not THAT unique. Besides....that once a year where your truck is near another truck, is the only time people may see more than one at a time :lol:

well sure you can make a plate. But then you either gotta weld it on top of your intake, and have it stick way up in the air....or cut out the Syclone from your existing intake, and have it welded in place and finished.

this way, the syclone will be filled in, and remilled to be a typhoon logo. no plate-welding required :tup:


i'll get mine done and show pictures....and see if the interest is still there.

hey mike how about mine it is ceramic coated, do you know anyone to recoat it?
i dont want to use my extra intake then have to get that one done.
