Fuel Question

So, I will post a general question here although I am using Code $59, I think it still applies across the board.

Using Tuner Pro RT to obtain data

Here are my immediate problems.

#1
Part throttle (20% +-) just about to enter boost and in 1st gear mostly, I am seeing 10+ KR. AF is in the 12's mostly and transitioning away from 14.7 on WB. I am not hammering it, just light throttle. If I give it more throttle, it goes into boost and the KR goes away. It seems to only be this transition area.

What I see is when MAP 3-Bar $3f is at 100, I am seeing about 3lbs of boost. For some reason, my MAP and boost arent matching my gauge either.

When my MAP is reading 80 in a log file, my boost starts to go above 0

I thought it was 100 kPa where it would be in boost?

#2
My f29X table has a huge bump in it in the same range as my KR and then falls off after it goes into PE. Should I move MAP PE Threshold down? What else would I change to get rid of this huge lump in my 29x table? I think there is something here related to AE or PE that is throwing it into a fit.

I WOULD THINK THIS WOULD BE THE SAME AS THE REGULAR F29 TABLE JUST EXTENDED FOR CODE $59 ?

#3
I have one log area easing into throttle where I am seeing
21 lbs of boost
0 KR
10.6 AFR (little rich)
kPA $3f is showing 231
14 deg Timing.

Question is about the kPa does it match the boost level I am seeing?

Re: Fuel Question

It's there.

Perhaps no one know what's going on or has an idea?

I suspect too much fuel too early then it seems to go into PE mode and fueling drops off in my VE table drastically. Funny, I can ease into the throttle to 20 lbs and get pretty much no KR but it's that transition period from 80-100 that is killing me. Especially if I get stuck in that area going up a hill mostly.

Re: Fuel Question

What you may want to try is looking at your timing table when boost kicks in. There is no rule that 80KPA is boost and 160KPA is XXPSI. Know what I mean? Here is an example. One night I spent a few hours tuning for the track. I ran 17 psi and it was in the 190KPa range. Next day I went to the track which is 1000' difference in altitude. My runs showed 17psi and the KPa was around 210. It wont always be the same and I would not use it as a rule. But I will say that generally 85KPa is usually when I start to see boost. You have to remember the wheel in your turbo is always spinning and the more exhaust it sees the faster it will spin. It doesn't have to make boost because it is spinning though, it takes time to pressurize. I hope this helps. Check your timing table and see what it says when you get all that knock.
