Fuel Pump Dead?

I tried to start my Ty after many years of storage today and I was not getting any pressure in the fuel rail. I connected the prime connector to 12v and still nothing. I know current was flowing because the wire got warm, but not enough to blow the 10a fuse I had in there. Anything else to check before I am forced to drop the tank and replace the pump?

Check the ECM-B fuse and the pigtail behind the rollpan.

Check the ECM-B fuse and the pigtail behind the rollpan.

ECM-B fuse is fine, I believe the Fuel Pump Prime connector bypasses it anyway. The connector behind the rollpan is connected and looks in good condition. I will try some continuity checks on it.

fuel pump relay?

I'm going to say that if the pump didn't prime off that connector, the relay ain't going to affect jack.

Fortunately, I have a Walbro sitting in a box ready to go. Put an order in for the Racetronix kit, but I am really starting to think I should replace the tank too. It's only a hundred bucks and the tank has some significant rusting on the outside, can't imagine what it looks like on the inside.

So I dropped the tank out, and yes the pump is surely bad. The strainer sock was ripped and lots of gunk in the pump and the tank. The tank was in such bad shape, I ordered a new one.

I am not sure though about the fuel sender unit. Should I get a new one? I cleaned it up somewhat, but there is a lot of rust. Here is a picture of it:

I'd get a new one, that one looks like it was salvaged from the wreakage of the Titanic.
