Fuel lines going into tank

If you're using rubber fuel line, make sure the fuel hose and fuel clamps are FUEL INJECTION compatible. Common "fuel hose" is for carburetors (7-10 PSI) and NOT suitable for the high pressure of fuel injection!! Warnings are posted everywhere you buy fuel hose about this (at least around here).

This hose is rated for 180 psi. Thats what it says. :dunno:
What do you think about how I spliced the hoses together? Will it last?

The rubber will compress. Let them sit for a day or so before install and retighten the clamps before the install. I guess you didn't have space for double clamping.
The brass barbs fittings gone be restrictions for the fuel. I would re-adjust FPR just to be sure.

I'd double-clamp where possible. If the barbs of the fittings are high enough, it should hold.
Maybe = fire.

The fittings will restrict flow slightly, particularly at WOT.

Further...

What you're doing is a "get me on the road again" fix. Not a permanent deal.

Get the AN fittings and the adapter fittings for Saginaw, if you want to do it right.
You don't need to use braided stainless line, you can use braided rubber to save money.

Fix it once, never worry again.

Re: Fuel lines going into tank

I stopped into DCA racing shop today to see if they could make me a line.

They could but they didn’t have the right female fitting I needed. I showed them what I rigged up and they said that it should hold with no problem. I feel pretty confident in what I fabricated. I know it’s not the right way to do it. I should just get AN fittings. I’m just not really sure what to order. If the hose is 3/8 does that mean the connector I need is 3/8 or -06AN ? Will it be the right size? I know what everyone is saying, and I think your all right about just getting an AN fitting. People tell me they will give me a parts list or send me what I need. I haven’t gotten anything. I’m not lecturing. I’m just trying to be more precise in what Im asking. That way I can get the answer I’m looking for. :D Thanks for your input.

I used these and they worked out great. I used one (1) 90 AN fitting also to clear the manifold under the regulator. I think you were asking about -08 AN though. These are -06 AN but they are also only $15 from summit (SUM-220009) for the 2 piece kit.

I didnit keep the stock filter and went braided all the way.
I also did a 8AN send and 6AN return.

Sorry for messing up.
