For Sale is a 1992 Typhoon complete setup installed in a 1990 Jimmy. The truck has everything from the Typhoon swapped into this truck, the complete drivetrain, including the AWD. New 02, 3-bar map, and TPS. New larger throttle body, lower intake gasket redone, all new tune up parts. Upgraded coil. External pump and cooler for the IC. Magnaflow 3" exhaust. Ultimate chip. Brand new Hankook (no miles) tires on 17" Corvette saw blade wheels. Battery is relocated but does not quite fit in the box. Drive train has 113k, does not smoke or leak oil. Claddings are in good shape.

It does need the Alpine radio installed (included), maybe new driver door hinge pins. Factory oil pressure gauge is sometimes not working, hence the mechanical gauge in the glove box. AC needs a charge. Paint is not perfect but this is a great daily driver. $4850. Located in North NJ.

Anyone need this as parts truck? I also would be interested in a real roller SY or TY if I get no offers... Thanks...

Frame is in great shape. There is a little rot on the driver lower 1/4 behind the cladding, cannot really see with the cladding there. Tailgate and under the doors are good.

Re: FS: Tyclone - 1992 Typhoon setup in a Jimmy

My friend bought this as a running truck, bought in Philly about 1 hr away. It was not running so well at the time. Lower intake gasket was leaking, throttle body valve was leaking vacuum. He brought it to a mechanic who had it for about a year. that mechanic did not really know about the TY so there were other things wrong still making it not run so good. My friend got tired of waiting for the mechanic to fix this so he bought a jeep and asked me to sell the TY. I have another buddy who is converting his TY to an LS1 so I took all his vacuum lines, and all his new sensors and replaced everything on this clone. The biggest issue was the TPS was bad. Now the truck runs well but it never really drove it far after its running correctly. It should make it to MN but that is a far trip. Can prob ship it for the price of the fight and gas?
