Although I miss my Blazer, I think I made a good trade. What do you think?

I traded even up for my Syclone after finding it on craigslist. At the time I was selling my Blazer just to see what I could get my hands on. It was also too big for my garage and I didn't want to see it just sitting there. Anyway, here is how I got my new toy:

Thanks, no regrets. Even after finding out the turbo was bad (it sucked in a piece of plastic from the intake and ground up the impeller).

Yep. It is a 86 K5 Blazer, full-size (the ones with the removable tops). I bought it pretty much like you saw above and finished the project. Everything was new on it, as well as most of the metal. It has a 350 Edelbrock crate motor with mild cam and new trans. I built the exhaust myself and had a custom driveshaft made. It looked sharp and drove nice and straight. But it was too impractical and got horrible gas mileage, it was also illegal (too high). I paid $5400 and sunk about $1200 into it before trading.

So $6,600 for a nice looking Syclone. There is no way to go wrong with that any way. Blazer was neat to look at but thats all you got. How is the Sy?

Sy runs pretty strong. I rebuilt the top end after finding the plastic chunks in the turbo. It's prb the most fun to drive vehicle I've owned. I'm going code #59 this month and will teach myself how to tune which will also help me with my Buick. The Sy is also my daily driver.

Nice trade, in my opinion. I do like K5's very much, and would love to have one...but if I did have one, I would trade it for a clean Sy in a heartbeat! My question now is if I am willing to get rid of my Ty, and get a '02 Z06!

Sure, but looking back thru these is making me miss the beast! Best sounding vehicle I've had to date. I think if I were to do another 4x4 it would be a rock crawler in a Jeep though.

The seats were new but I kept them covered to stay that way.
