There aren't many free mods. Search for using heater hose for the IC lines, IC scoop. Other than those (and more that I can't think of now) do a complete tune up (search for this too), and get your truck tuned by a local veteran. Where you at?

You could also try removing some weight from the truck ie jack, ac, abs, spair tire etc.. I mean the ac delete you'll at least need a $30 pully and the abs delete you need lines $15 from hood if I remember right..

Everyone around here has a different opinion as to what to do first.
You have to tell us what you want or hope to do with the truck. Do you want is as a daily driver? Or do you want it to be an all out drag truck? Where in between?
The most bang for the buck is Alky injection but you have to have your engine really tuned (like they said above). You had best get DataMaster program and cable to run on a laptop to know what is happening in your motor.
The very first thing is to learn as much about your truck as you can. This doesn't cost much.
Most of the above is in reverse order. Maybe, I guess (or not). What ever.

The following info took 3 seconds to find:
There are a handful of mods you can do to achieve some more power and efficieny.
These mods include:
- Replacing the metal intercooler lines and rerouting with 3/4" hose
- Hotwiring the intercooler pump to run continuously while the key is in the "ON" position.
- Bellmouthing the intercooler resovior
- Port match and polish exhaust side of turbo where it bolts up to the manifold
- Port match and polish exhaust manifold where it bolts up to the turbo
- Port match and polish upper intake to match lower intake
- Bellmouth compressor side of turbo inlet
- Removing the small round plastic grommet from the radiator support directly in front of the stock air box. This will give an extra quarter sized hole that flows air into the airbox. Not a huge gain in efficiency, but some non the less when you look at how air has to travel to get into the airbox.

i already have a walbro 255, and i have the spare and the jack reoved, i will not get rid of the ac seeing as this is my DD and i have the abs delete..
ALSO IS THERE A GOOD AFTERMARKET UPPER INTAKE, THE NIPPLE IN THE BACK OF MINEHAS BROKE OFF SO NOW I HAVE A HOLE IN MY INTAKE, I AM GONNA TRY AND WELD IT BUT I WAS JUST WONDERING ABOUT AN INTAKE

Mine's a daily driver as well and I deleted the ac to make room under the hood for repairs/tune ups and to have less weight. I went two years so far only using the air a hand full of times and the way gas prices are looking I know I won't ever use it anymore so out it came..
Im not really sure about the nipple in the back of the intake that your talkign about?

If that is broken you have to get that fixed. A big vacuum leak, also bother of the vacuum boost connections are very important, they are the Fuel pressure and MAP sensor connections, they part of control boost, timing and adding the proper amount of fuel.
