ok i took the syclone to have it inspected on 10/20/06 and it failed results are
high speed:
HIGH SPEED
standard current result
HC 220 148 PASS
CO 1.20 1.28 FAIL
CO2 13
O2 1.8
Dilution >6.0 14.28 PASS
LOW SPEED
standard current result
HC 220 301 FAIL
CO 1.2 0.36 PASS
CO2 13.1
O2 2.3
DILUTION >6.0 13.46 PASS
so i tiik it home, did a seafoam decarb two times. the truck is running great and there is no check engine light. plugs, wires, cap/rotor, fuel filter are all less then 6,000 miles old. the truck does its little smoke when first started due to leaking valve guides but does not smoke otherwise whether cruising or under boost. cleaned my k&n the day after the inspection running 93 octane fuel. took it back today and here are the results
HIGH SPEED
standard current result
HC 220 1339 FAIL
CO 1.20 1.99 FAIL
CO2 11.7
O2 3.2
Dilution >6.0 13.71 PASS
LOW SPEED
standard current result
HC 220 615 FAIL
CO 1.2 0.48 PASS
CO2 13.4
O2 2.0
DILUTION >6.0 13.88 PASS
SO ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA!?!?!? I have never seen a vehicle get worse after a decarb. all they would tell me at the dealership was that it had a miss and that is why it failed. the truck has the same idle it did a year ago when it passed the inspection, if anything a smoother one.
any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!
