Exhaust?????

What should I do to my exhaust? Should I hollow out the cats, remove the mufflers, or both? How does the exhaust sound without these? Is it too loud? Also, what are the performance gains?

Well, if you have a Chevy II, it will probably only sound loud. However, if you have a Sy/Ty then you will more than likley start to overboost and set codes, unless you have an external wastegate or some other means to control boost.

truck is pretty quiet with no cat/muff. Its not un noticable by any means, but less noise then a normal car would produce.

remove restriction and introduce overboost 99.99998% of the time.

dump the muff, keep the cat, you should be able to get away with that, and a nice sound to boot.
