EVO style hood?

I was looking at the pics from RB Motoring's EVO meet and was wondering if anyones' tried an EVO style hood on a syty (not cowl or ram air). It'd be really nice to get some of the heat out from under the hood and it'd be different from a cowl...just wondering is all.

Nope, I was hoping someone else would have pics! As far as I know it's never been produced, but with the right tools it could be fabbed up. I think I recall someone cutting out some triangles (between the supports) on the front of their hood...something similar to that.

That white syclone with blue stripes had a hood that kind of resembled a evo hood.

i just dont have any idea what the evo hood looks like off the top of my head.

whatever it is, Im sure I would make it, just need the parts.

yeah, I'm sure you guys have noticed that supra's (also with the new cobras if you cut out the baffle) often go with a similar idea hood (cut outs with mesh/grate covering them). I was just thinking it would be pretty cool to adapt that idea to a syty.

actually the under hood insulator thingy does get wet in the cobras so alot of the owners remove it.

for one i think your over estimating the amount of room under the hood, there isnt very much.

Then theres the question of appeal, as long as you like it thats all that matters right.... unless of course you cant get anyone to agree with you.
