Well, it happened. I got broken into.
Glass and blood EVERYWHERE inside. They tried to jack the Ty and got the stereo instead. Oh, did I mention I wasn't home at the time so they had hours to work on getting anything and everything out of it?
Funny how they DIDN'T steal the boost controller that was just sitting right under the deck.(removed the faceplate)
They did, however, steal the bloody BATTERY of all things. In the middle of the night. In the dark. They also broke the heater core return pipe off while they yanked out the battery.
The first shop I towed it to didn't want to work on it because the heater core was damaged and they don't do mechanical work. The insurance company had it towed to another shop. The second shop noticed that my driver's side rear cladding was now completely missing!!!
Now I have to figure out who removed the cladding! The insurance company had pictures of it before it was towed to the first shop with the cladding still there. The second shop received the vehicle without cladding. The first shop denies removing the cladding.
Now I need to know if I declare a vandalism claim and get it fixed through insurance, or if I should try and find some black cladding and get it installed myself? My insurance is $300 for a vandalism claim, I wonder how much cladding is.... or maybe I don't want to know.
Damn cladding thieves. So random, why would someone remove my cladding and just that one piece?
